CAPE ULTRA TRIATHLON POSTPONED TO 2021

Good Afternoon Event Partners and Sponsors

The decision to postpone the Cape Ultra Triathlon has not been taken lightly especially as this is our favourite event in the Ultra Triathlon Series. But due to the current situation we have had no choice. We are still hoping to be able to stage the Sun City event on the 1st November and the Joburg Ultra on the 6th December, but changes to the event, aligning it with the regulations will have to be implemented if we do get the go ahead. We will keep you posted with more information as it becomes available.

CAPE ULTRA TRIATHLON POSTPONED TO 2021

B-Active SA, the owners and organisers of the Cape Ultra Triathlon have had to make the hard decision to postpone the 2020 event to 2021. With the turbulent year we have had and the massive impact the national lockdown has had on the event industry, the Cape Ultra Triathlon planned for the 4th of October 2020 will be postponed to 2021.

“My Team and I are prepared and ready to manage the new required Covid-19 event regulations, however currently all Triathlon events are still very limited with the number of competitors that are allowed. We have looked at various ways to stage the event, however there is no way to make it successful with the various limitations and short time frame at hand” says Race Director Damian Bradley.

All competitors who have entered for the 2020 event will automatically have their entry moved to the 2021 event. Alternatively, entrants can move their entry to any other Ultra Triathlon event in the 2021 National Series free of charge. Major changes are already being planned for the 2021 Cape Ultra event, which will radically grow the already successful Cape Ultra Triathlon. More information will be published as soon as it is available.

Kind regards

The B-Active SA Team.
