World Triathlon has welcomed confirmation from the International World Games Association (IWGA) that duathlon will remain part of the Sports Programme for The World Games 2029 in Karlsruhe, Germany, to be held from 19 to 29 July 2029.

Further information regarding the duathlon qualification system, competition format and medal events for Karlsruhe 2029 will be announced in due course.
