The South African Institute of Drug-Free Sport has informed Triathlon South Africa that Eulali Gouws has been charged and found guilty on 18 June 2025 with the following anti-doping rule violation namely :
- Article 2.3 of the 2021 Anti-Doping Rules of the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS), relating
to “Evading Sample collection ; or refusing or failing to submit to Sample collection without
compelling justification after notification by a duly authorized Person” by an Independent Doping
Hearing Panel (“IDHP”).
- Accordingly, she is suspended and prohibited from Competing, Coaching and
Administering in the sport of Triathlon, as well as in any other sport in South Africa and
Internationally until and including the 26th September 2027 (midnight).
